PRESIDENT MEETS COLLECTIVELY WITH RULING PARTY
LEADERS
Kathmandu, 21 May: Presidnt Dr. Ram Baran Yadav met collectively with
Maoist, NC, UML and Madeshi Morcha leaders in government and urged them to promulgate a constitution within the 27 May deadline asking them to be
conciliatory.
He met the ruling party leaders amid new hurdles and uncertainty in
promulgation of a basic lw in the remaining six days.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai met separately with the president who
was briefed by the government chief on the latest political situation.

NO VIOLENCE REPORTED SO FAR ON SECOND DAY OF OF
BANDH IN VALLEY UPDATE
Kathmandu, 21 May: No violence has been reported until 10 in the
morning Monday in the capital on the second day of a three-day bandh
called by an umbrella group of indigenous nationalities and a broad front of Madeshbadi parties of Upendra Yadav,
The strike Monday is total.

CASES REGISTERED AGAINST 11 LAWMAKERS AT SPECIAL
COURT FOR MISUSE OF DIPLOMATIC PASSPORTS
Kathmandu, 21 May: CIAA registered cases against 11 lawmakers, including Narad Muni Rana, for misuse of diplomatic passports at the special court Sunday,

Rana has been suspended from parliament with immediate effect from
Sunday.
