BIGGEST CEMENT FACTORY CLOSES DOWN Kathmandu, 24 June: The largest cement factory of the country, Udayapur Cement Industry, has stopped production for past three days due to lack of coal, RSS reports from Gaighat.. The largest cement factory in the country has been stymied by one problem after the other in connection with machinery going out of order and shortage of coal or raw materials, and it is compelled to halt production frequently. It is said an Indian coal dealer that supplies coal to the Industry has halted the supply as the industry has not cleared its dues. Nnnn RS.4M LOSS IN PLASTIC STORE FIRE Kathmandu, 24 June: A fire broke out at the New Mohan Plastic Store here this [Sunday] morning, destroying cash and goods worth approximately Rs 4 million, RSS reports. The fire engulfed store at 4 a.m. probably due toshort circuit and it was brought under control with the help of police personnel, locals and fire engine. The entire store has been gutted by fire and an adjoining shop has also been damaged, according to police. nnnn
