GOVT. EXTENDS ANOTHER RS.1.4 BILLION LOAN TO NOC TO IMPORT POL PRODUCTS Kathmandu, 10 June: The Cabinet Sunday agred to extend a loan of Rs.1.4 billion rupees to the NOC to cover dues to IOC for import of POL products. IOC last week curtailed imports for non-payment of dues creating shortages. Complaints NOC is losing even with regular hikes in prices of POL products are now regular. NOC also complains government isn’t extending loans for import bills amid protests by economists public enterprises from where government is taking loans fund theimport bill will lose their investments which is unlikely to be settled by NOC.
