RJP CALLS FOR SHORT REVIVAL OF CA Kathmandu, 19 June:: The Rastriya Janamukti Party ( RJP) has decided to go for a greater peoples' revolt for more achievement while at the same time safeguarding the achievements gained by the dissolved Constituent Assembly (CA) at present when there is no certainty of the next CA elections, RSS reports. At a press meet organized here today, party vice chairman KP Palungwa said the only democratic political outlet of the day was to go for elections. He said the CA could be revived for a certain period for national consensus by 33 parties representing in the dissolved CA, and that the president should organize an all- party political conference. Vice Chairman Palungwa also called on rebel nationalities and dalit leaders of other major partirs who are in favour of ethnic provinces to join his party. Nnnn ONLY TWO CHEPANG INFANTS ALIVE AFTERFAMLMEMBERS DIE EATING WILD MUSHROOMS Kathmandu, 19 June: The number of people dying after consuming poisonous mushroom in Kabilas village here has reached five. All the deceased are from the same family, RSS reports. The latest victim to consumption of wild mushroom is 13-year-old Arjun Chepang. He died last night while undergoing treatment at the ICU in Bharatpur Hospital. Four members of the same family who consumed curry made out of wild mushroom had died until Monday. The head of the family, 35-year-old Buddhi Bahadur Chepang, who was undergoing treatment at the same hospital after falling sick following consumption of the mushroom curry died on Monday morning. His wife and two sons had died on Sunday. The five members of the Chepang family had eaten curry made of wild mushroom on June 13. They were taken to hospital the next day after falling sick. The Chepang family is in great distress after losing its five members. They are survived by only Buddhi's old parents and two infants. Nnnn PAKISTAN COURT DISQUALIES PAKISTAN PM Kathmandu, 19 June: Pakistan's top court declared on Tuesday that the country's prime minister was 'disqualified' from office due to an earlier contempt conviction, delivering what appeared to be a fatal blow against the premier's political career and ushering in political turmoil, AAP reports from Islamabad.. In its ruling, the Supreme Court ordered the country's election commission to formally dismiss Yousuf Reza Gilani and said he was no longer the prime minister. There was no immediate response from Gilani or his party, which heads a ruling coalition. Gilani was convicted in April for refusing to open a corruption probe against his boss, President Asif Ali Zardari. He has been refusing to step down. The Supreme Court ruling came in response to petitions filed against Gilani for not standing down after that conviction. Party supporters have said that they believe they have the support in parliament to elect a new prime minister in the event of Gilani's disqualification. nnnn
