UML ASSURES JANAJATIS, MADESHIS Kathmandu, 13 June: UML standing committee Wednesday said it wont take action against Janajatic and Madeshi who pushed ethnic provinces in a federal structure to replace a unitary state. Leaders of the communities charged party establishment for abandoning previous calls for ethnic states and pushed for ethnic provinces opposing party position . Several members of the group either quit the party or boycotted meetings. The committee assured dissidents action wouldn’t be taken against them for holding dissenting views expressed freely and and without rancor.
