UML STANDING COMMITTEE DISCUSSES NATIONAL MEET
Kathmandu, 10 June: Standing committee (SC) meeting of the CPN (UML) held discussions on the party's national cadres' meet scheduled for June 19-20 in the capital and disputes seen in the party regarding state-restructuring, RSS reports.
However, UML Vice-chairman Ashok Rai was not present in today's meeting also.
According to UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, the meeting prepared the standards of the participants of the meeting. The meeting also concluded to organise party's zonal-level and district-level meetings as well.
Leader Nepal said the UML would prepare a proposal to end the country's present political deadlock and it would be tabled in tomorrow's SC meeting.
Leader Nepal alleged the UCPN (Maoist) of attempting to capture the state power and heading to political confrontation.
Tomorrow's SC meeting will start at 11:00 am.

UML STUDENTS SUSPECTED OF INVOLVEMENT IN SHOOTING COLLEAGUE SUSPENDED
Kathmandu, 10 June:: The All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU) has suspended its two members at Amrit Science Campus, Lainchaur (ASCAL), involved in the
Shootout, RSS reports.
The students´ organization close to the CPN (UML) has said it had taken action against Bir Bahadur Raut and Mukesh Nepali for their involvement in the shootout in which ANNFSU campus unit vice-president Basanta Shahi was critically injured. The incident took place last Friday.
According to ANNFSU Secretary Rachana Khadka, Raut and Nepali allegedly involved in the incident were suspended. Raut is ANNFSU Ascol chapter vice president and Nepali the member. Both are in police detention now.
Action against Raut and Nepali was meant for cooperating police administration to carry out investigation into the incident, said Khadka.
She said Manoj Kshatri, who was said to be carrying the weapon, was still absconding.
Meanwhile, injured Shahi is getting his health condition improved.
Khadka claimed that the incident was occurred when they were trying pistol.
