CPM MAOIST VICE-CHIRMAN CP GAJUREL CHARGES WESTERN STATES OF FUELING ND BACKING RECENT INDIGENOUS, JANAJATI PROTESTS Kathmandu, 2 July: : Vice Chairman of newly formed CPN Maoist, C P Gajurel, has claimed that the recent indigenous nationalities protest was backed and fueled by Western nations, Reporters’ Nepal writes... Speaking at the Reporters Club Nepal on Monday, Gajurel argued that the struggle for identity and federalism was influenced by some western nations, which he denied to elaborate upon. He stressed on the need to convene serious investigation into the funds allocated to various indigenous nationalities operated organizations by external donor agencies. In a different context, Gajurel said that his party has maintained equidistance relationship with both China and India and informed that the Chinese delegation exhibited positive behavior towards them during their consultation recently. He informed that the Chinese delegations have pledged to maintain good and equal relationships with both Maoist parties in the future too and revealed that party Chairman Mohan Baidya Kiran would be visiting Beijing in the near future. In a different note, Gajurel said that his party would align with other opposition parties to topple Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai. He called on political parties to first overthrow Bhattarai and than only to finalize the new PM candidate for the consensus government. Gajurel warned political parties that engaging in discussions to finalize the PM candidate would provide more time to Bhattarai to remain in power. Reffering to the recent scuffle between his party and UCPN Maoist cadres for owning assets of their earlier unified party, Gajurel warned that his party would capture Paris Danda if the UCPN Maoist leadership denied to divide party's property with them. nnnn
