ELEPHANT HERD CREATES HAVOC IN JHAPA Kathmandu, 17 July: A herd of wild elephants that crossed over the border from India has wreaked havoc at Bahundangi VDC-1, terrorizing the people there, RSS Reports fom Bhadrapur.. The heard of about 25 elephants went on a berserk at Telpani area on Monday night, trampling on crops and raging the house of one Gopal Siwa at the place, according to the District Police Office, Jhapa. The herd was later driven away towards India by police personnel, local forestry office staffs and locals. nnnn
