FOREIGN EMPLOYMENT PROTEST HIKE IN HEALTH CHECK-UP FEES
Kathmandu, 25 July: The All Nepal Progressive Migrant Workers' Association affiliated to the CPN-Maoist has demanded that the Nepal Health Professional Federation immediately scrap the decision to increase the health check-up fees charged for the foreign job seekers, RSS reports.
The association has also slammed the federation's decision to hike the health check-up free for the migrant workers.
The federation had decided to increase Rs 940 for men and Rs 1000 for women foreign job aspirants effective from the new fiscal year for their heath check-up before leaving for their countries of destination.
Coordinator of the association Bhim Prasad Chapagain said that effective monitoring and actions from the authorities concerned was required at international airport and in offices of the Department of Labour and manpower companies.
Chapagain said the association would launch a stern struggle against fraudulent agents and manpower companies.

CHITWAN RESORT WORKERS DEMAND JOBS FROM GOVT.
Kathmandu, 25 July: The labourers of jungle resorts located inside the Chiwan National Park have demanded their job guarantee, saying that they were left without jobs after the closure of the resorts, RSS reports from Chitwan.
Seven resorts and hotels located inside the national park were closed from the beginning of this fiscal year after the hotelier's attempts to get their contracts renewed received cold water from the government.
Bharat Ranabhat, a leader of hotel workers, said that they were left high and dry after losing a decade-long job.
Over 1400 workers were working in the jungle resorts located inside the national park.
The jungle resorts were established in 2050 B.S and the government had renewed their licenses for three more years citing Nepal Tourism Year.
The seven jungle resorts closed from the beginning of this fiscal year include Tiger Tops Hotel, Machan Wildlife Resort, Narayani Safari, Rhino Wild Life Camp, Chitwan Jungle Lodge, Island Jungle Resort and Temple Tiger Resort. RSS
