FORMER KING GYANENDRA SAID CHARGE AGAINST FOR MURDER OF KING BIRENDRA PROPOGANDA
Kathmandu,22 July: Former King Gyanendra revealed in a television interview Sunday night he took the Narayanhiti Royal Palace massacre stoically and denied his involvement in the murders.
He said he was innocent dismissing charges of his involvement while also referring to the end of monarchy in Nepal.
‘What else could I have done?” he asked.
“These things were thrust upon me.”
“It’s a state of minD which has to be trained,’ the former king added.
“They are important. I didn’t fall to depression,” the last king said the
1 June 2005 Narayanhiti Royal Palace massacre and his departure for Nagarjung from Narayanhiti ending the 238-year-old monarchy.
The then king told News 24 he wasn’t involved in the palace massacre.
“It was propaganda. If I was guilty, I would be running away. It was attempt todefame me,” he said in reply to a question.
