GOVT. INCREASES FERTLIZER PRICE Kathmandu, 25 July: Agriculture Inputs Co. Ltd. increased fertilizer price from Sunday even as farmers face acute shortage during the rice transplanting season. Price was increased ‘with minimum effect on framers’ and increase of price in the international market. Price of DAP fertilizer was increased Rs two per kg to Rs.40 per kg at import points Biratnagar, Birgunj and Bhairahawa. Harmers have had to wait for hours and even days at fertilizer depots to buy fertilizers not available in desired quantity. Fertilizers have been looted amid shortage is artificial at some places with reports of the product being sold to people with access. nnnn
