MOHAN BAIDHAYA BEGNS DSCUSSIONS IN BEIJING Kathmandu, 25 July” Chairman Mohan Baidhaya of CPN Maoist began consultations Tuesday with senior Chinese leaders in Beijing. He returns home Tuesday after concluding a 10-day China visit. Baidhaya held discussions Tuesday with Ai Ping, who just concluded a Nepal visits when he met Chairman Prachanda and Bidhaya but no discussions were held with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai who is party vice-chairman. There was only a brief encounter between Premier Bhattarai and Chinese Prime MinisterWen Jiabao at a Brail summit of UN on sustainable development. There was no direct meet between the premiers of the two neighbouring Asian countries. .Ai Peng is senior deputy of the party foreign department looking after South Asia, Acting CPN Maoist Chairman CP Gajurel said the party boss China visit is aimed to improve strained party ties.
