NINE DEAD. 24 MISSING AS BUS PLUNGES INTO TRISULI RIVER Kathmandu, 16 July: Nine persons died and 24 are missing as a bus plunged into swollen Trishuli river in neighbouring Dhading Monady morning hampering rescue and search operation. Three men, a woman and child are among the dead, Three died while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital. Three persons died and 38 others were injured, seven seriously, in a collision in Nawalparasi. Nnnn SARCH CONTINUES TO FIND MISSING PILGRIMS IN GANDAKI CANAL Kathmandu, 16 July: Army and police resumed search resumes Monday for missing Indian and Nepali pilgrims when a bus plunged into Gandaki canal in Nawalparasi Sunday afternoon. Thirty-nine passengers, mostly Indians, were killed and 10 injured are undergoing treatment at hospitals. Fresh reports said the overcrowded bus was carrying136 passengers who reported the driver was drunk—normal for drivers in long routs for scanty monotoring.. nnnn
