FACILITIES FOR FORMER KING
Kathmandu, 9 July: Former King Gyanendra was warned Monday by Prime
Minister Baburam Bhattarai government would withdraw facilities
extended by the government if he made anti-republican moves.
The threat to stop facilities under an agreement when the former king left came one day after the king said the country’s situation bad-- even worse after he left
Narayanhiti four years ago.
Premier Bhattarai ruled out the return of ousted monarchy or what he called
‘regressive forces’.
The premier said the then king made the remarks at a time when there were
‘differences between political parties’.and added,”Political parties will
again move ahead.
Bhattarai didn’t deny like UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal or Madhav Kumar Nepal, there was agreement between the king and seven political parties, not
Maoists, to continue with monarchy after Janaandolan Two.
