PM CONVENES ALL-PARTY MEET TUESDAY
Kathmandu, 9 July: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai has convened an
all-party meet Tuesday to discuss a budget for fiscal year 2069/70 that
begins Monday.
The meeting has been called after President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav
suggested a budget should be announced through consensus and
opposition parties have been demanding a budget through consensus.

KAMAL THAPA CALLS PM THREAT TO WITHDRAW GOVT. FACILITIES FOR FORMER KING LOWLY ATTITUDE
Kathmandu, 9 July: RPP-Nepal Chairman Kamal Thapa Monday termed
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai’s threat to former King Gyanendra a “lowly threat”.
“Security of an individual is the duty of the government. This government has been giving facilities and life-long security to former prime ministers who
haven’t been in office even for six months.
“He [former king] is a former head of state,” Thapa said Monday the day
Bhattarai issued a threat to withdraw government facilities after then
King Gyanendra said he wanted to play the role of guardian at a time when the country’s situation had deteriorated.
“What facilities has he got [then king?” Thapa asked and answered in the
