QUAKE JOLTS BHAJANG Kathmandu, 12 July: An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was recorded in Bajhang district at 11:03 pm on Wednesday night, RSS reports.. The epicenter of the earthquake was around Kalbhairab in the eastern part of the district, according to the Department of mines and geology, National Seismological center, Lainchour. Nnnn 30 RESCUED FROM FLOODED SETI Kathmandu, 12 July: Some 30 people of seven families have been rescued from Ramghat, the bank of Seti River in Pokhara, after the flood caused by incessant rainfall inundated their houses last [Wednesday] night, RSS reports from Pokhara. According to police, the flood victims were rescued at 1:00 pm with the help of boats brought from Fewa Lake. Likewise, four families at Yamdi in Pokhara have been displaced due to the flood occurred last night in the river, said spokesperson of District Police Office, Kaski, Rabindra Paudel. nnnn
