SUSHIL KOIRALA, SHER BAHADUR DEUBA DIFFERENCES SURFACE AGAIN IN NC Kathmandu, 29 July: Differences have resurfaced between NC President Sushil Koirala aad senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba one day after the party chief ‘unilaterally” formed and appointed 42 departments and its chief. Supporters met Sunday at the Deuba residence to discuss Saturday’s move twomonths after a party general convention. The move should have come two months after the convention, Duuba supporter Prakash Sharan Mahat said.. The appointments were unilateral. No consultations were held,” Mahat added. Koirala made the move before a meting of Monday’s district presidents in Baharabsge. Deuba will take up the department formations and appointments of its chiefs after the district president meet concludes, Mahat added. nnnn KP SHARMA OLI FIRST NEPALI LEADER TO MEET INDIAN PRESIDENT PRANAV MUKHERJEE Kathmandu, 29 July: Senior UML leader KP Sharma Oli has become the first Nepali leader to hold discussions with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi, Mahesh Acharya reports in Kantipur from the Indian capital. Oli has met nearly half a dozen leaders of various political parties and bureaucrats after arriving in New Delhi Monday. Oli held discussions with the president two days after his election.
