UPDATE INTEGRATION OF FORMER MAOIST SUSPENDED Kathmandu, 6 July: The integration of 3,200 former Maoist PLA fighters in Nepal Army (NA) was suspended as they came out of cantonments and demonstrated on the third day of a 3-week process. They demanded ‘integration with honour’ and complained they were being humiliated and being treated like a force that ‘surrendered’. The fighters said neither Maoists for NA won a decisive war. Names of 2,764 persons for integration were submitted at a cantonment. NA said the disagreement erupted because of age discrepancies is papers of the firher fighters. The obstacle comes at a time when UCPN Maoist has split with CPN Maoist led by Mohan Baidhya opposed to integration termed then as ‘surrender’ nnnn
