BUSES, TAXIS START PLYING NATION-WIDE Kathmandu, 12 Aug.: More than 100,000 buses and taxis started plying the streets nation-wide Sunday morning after a two-day disruption of public transport service. Transport entrepreneurs and workers resumed service Sunday following a breakthrough agreement with government overnight to form a taskforce with representatives of both sides to address 15 demands. The 15-mmeber body headed by transport ministry joint secretary Hari Shrivastan will begin work Sunday and submit a report with suggestions in 15 days, Protestors demanded bifurcation of transport ministry into transportation and industry ministries, suspension of a system of commission for traffic police from fines collected from drivers and other demands. nnnn
