DETAILS OF ORDINANCES SENT TO PRESIDENT FOR PROMULGATION
Kathmandu, 27 Aug.: The cabinet has recommended an ordinance for
promulgation by the president for the formation of a Commission on Disappearances for the presidential approval, said Minister of Health and Population Rajendra
Mahato said.
The caretaker government prepared the ordinance without consulting parties
outside government and amid protests victims of 10-year conflict will oppose if used arbitrarily by ruling parties.
Two election-related ordinances related by the head of state are not among the four ordinances.
Government had threatened to return the ordinances for approval and would have invited direct president/ government confrontation.
Government Monday decided to create 1041 openings in Nepal police.
