Minister Bogati urged the agitating side to come for talks to seek a solution to the problem and said, "Let's come for talks from tomorrow and find a way out to the problem, I will myself attend the first round of the meeting on behalf of the government."
Stating that the development projects should not be delayed over unnecessary issues Minister Bogati admitted that some mistakes were made during the construction process and said the government was committed to correcting them.
"The construction cost of the project will not go up than the estimated cost," he added.
(Note: There’s a new twist to the Pokhara protest with a local maoist leader admitting Monday he took a commission for the development of the airport on behalf of the party. The admission comes amid preparations of CIAA intervention in the airport
construction This is probably the first time a responsible party leader has admitted taking ‘commission;’ on behalf of the party—amount varies-- for the implementation of government project. Maoists want state power to enrich the partyct , the incident has proved.)
