PM ATTEMPTS TO RESOLVE STRIKE AT TUTH UPDATE
Kathmandu, 18 Aug.: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai Saturday
directed officials of Tribhuvan University to appoint a dean of TUTH
on merit and seniority.
The held discussions with TU officials to resolve demands of striking
doctors and staff of the Maharajgunj hospital—Nepal’s first teaching
hospital constructed by Japan.
A TU official said after the Baluwatar meeting a breakthrough was
expected Saturday.
Nepal Medical Association also closed down all services, except emergency, at ll hospitals for two days beginning Saturday supporting demands of Dr..Govinda KC who
