SHARE PRICES STABLE Kathmandu, 22 Aug.: Share price was stable Wednesday on the penultimate day of weekly trading. The market closed at 396.83 points after gaining 0.58 points or 0.15 percent. Altogether 149,160 shares were traded for Rs.48.547 million in 1411 transactions. Nnnn GOLD GAINS Kathmandu, 22 Aug.: Gold gained in the bullion market Wednesday and was traded for Rs. 58,050 per tola. The yellow metal was traded for Rs.57,700 per tola Tuesday. Gold gained as it fetched higher price in the international market and prices fellin neighbouring India. Nnnn PM TELLS OFFICIALS TO LIMIT LOAD-SHEDDING TO 12 HOURS IN WINTER Kathmandu, 22 Aug. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Wednesday asked concerned officials at a meeting to limit load-shedding to 12 hours a day in winter. He issued the directive even as energy officials said power cuts will increase to 16hour during the dry season beginning mid-November. For the first time load-shedding was increased in the middle of summer his week because of low rainfall and power export cuts from India. nnnm
