SUPREME COURT CLEARS AID KUBER SINGH RANA OF RIGHTS ABUSES Kathmandu, 12 Aug: A division bench of the supreme court Sunday cleared AIG Kuber Singh Rana of rights abuses during the 10-year Maoist insurgency ruling ad directed government to promote Kuber Singh Rana who was appointed AIG 22 June 2011. The court ruled charges against couldn’t be confirmed. The appointment was challenged by two advocates. Rana, a contender to succeed IGP Rabindra PratapRana was suspected for killing some terai youth in Dhanusha along with several army officers. nnnn .
