FURTHER DETAILS OF NC MEET Kathmandu, 15 Sept.:The Nepali Congress is to hold consultations with the major political parties on ways of bailing the country out of the current constitutional vacuum at the earliest, RSS reports. At the discussion between the office-bearers and the central committee members of the party available in Kathmandu concluded that that the Constituent Assembly could be reinstated if agreement could be reached among the parties on the 11 province with multiple identities federal model proposal that was presented to the parties on May 15, 2012, said party vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel. The discussion was held at the party president Sushil Koirala's residence at Maharajgunj. "Today's meeting discussed finding a way out of the current constitutional vacuum and talks would be held with the CPN (UML) today only," he said, hinting at the two parties preparing a common draft. The NC vice-president said that his party would be holding talks with the UCPN (Maoist) and other parties as well after holding talks with the UML regarding ending the present political deadlock in the country. Talking in brief with journalists after the meeting, senior leader of the party Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the CA could be revived provided that the parties reached an agreement on the contentious issues of the constitution. nnnn
