MASSIVE ILAM LANDSLIDE KILLS AT LEAST FOUR PERSONS Kathmandu, 1 Oct.: Four persons were killed overnight when a landslide swooped down on a convoy of vehicles on Ilam Rajmarj killing at least four persons, including Indian nationals. Many are missing and. the mudslide near Pathivara smothered at least five vehicles; two have been pulled out of the debris. Security forces have been deployed on a search and rescue mission. Dozens of vehicles on both sides of the Rajmarg or highway have been stranded. The landslide was triggered by heavy rainfall. Nnnn SCREEINING OF INDIAN MOVIES TOBE BANNED FROM MONDAY Kathmandu, 1 Oct.: Screening of India movies are to be banned from Monday on the initiative of CPN Maoist—a breakaway faction of UCPN Maoist, leading the government. The government has threatened strong action against persons obstructing the movement of Indian registered vehicles and screening of Indian moves even as the ruling party did the same whenit was in opposition. Indian Foreign Minister SM Krishna raised the issue with his Nepali counterpart Deputy Prime Minister Narayan Kazi Shrestha in New York indicating the strong objections of New Delhi. nnnn
