NC SETS ITS CONDITIONS FOR CA REINSTATEMNT Kathmandu, 15 Sept.: A meeting of office bearers and some central leaders of main opposition NC Saturday and some central leaders decided a constituent assembly (CA) if Maoists agree to implement a 15 May agreement, including terms of a federal structure. The meeting was held at the residence of President Sushil Koirala. NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel said the party will go for elections with a government led by it if the 15 May agreement isn’t acceptable to Maoists. Discussions will be held with UML later Saturday The meeting was held to find an outleto the current deadlock following an agreement between major parties to find a solution by 15 September. The parties discussed revival of a constitution assembly (CA) which was automatically dissolved after Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai announce assembly elections without consulting the election commission or other parties 22 November. Maoists are now pushing CA reinstatement as an option to end a political and constitutional crisis. President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has convened a meeting of leaders of major parties even as an outlet hasn’t been found following the 27 May dissolution of the CA and call for fresh elections by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai..
