PM ASKS PRESIDENT TO REMOVE OBSTACLES IN APPOINTMENTS UPDATE Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Wednesday asked Presidnt at a meeting in a formal meeting at Shital Biwas to remove obstacles in the appointments to constitutional bodies in the absence of parliament, The premier made the suggestion in the absence of parliament where a committee vets the appointments. Positions in constitutional bodies are vacant for several years for this reason and lobbying by major parties to appoint their lackeys. President’s Press Advisor Rajendra Dahal said the head of state will study the request. Nnnn STOCK MARKET CONTINUED ITS GAIN Kathmandu, 12 Sept.: Stock prices continued its gain in the secondary market Wednesday on the fourth day of five-day weekly trading. Nepse closed at 414.35points gaining 1.87 points or .0.45 percent. Trading was heavy.. Altogether 311,669shares were traded for Rs.90.478 million in 1468 transactions. nnnn
