PM SAYS ORDINANCES NEEDED TO GOVERN

Talking to media persons at Surkhet Airport in connection with returning to the capital after spending one night in a Dalit settlement of Tatopani VDC in Jumla district under a programme of visiting locals in the last week of every month, Prime Minister Bhattarai stressed on the need of consensus to reinstate the Constituent Assembly (CA) or to hold a new election.
Stating that discussion among the parties is underway to give an outlet to the current transitional period of the country, he expressed the confidence that the transition of the country will be ended within a few days.
The Prime Minister said ordinances presented to the President by the government is a compulsion for running the government and added that the ordinances have been already discussed after presenting at the Legislature-Parliament and the government is going to bring ordinances as they are necessary to run the government in the context that there are no people's representatives.
He further said peace and constitution have taken a pace and the peace process has reached in its final stage during his term.
Bhattarai said he reached the most remote settlements of the country with the purpose of drawing suggestions on government's work from people and holding face-to-face interaction with them.
He said he made a journey to the remote settlement with an objective of linking people with the state power directly.
