UML CONDITIONALITIES Kathmandu, 1 Seot.: CPN-UML general secretary Ishwor Pokhrel has said that the ongoing discussions among the political parties would reach a consensus soon., RSS reports from Bhaktapur. He also said that the CPN-UML could accept revival of the constituent assembly (CA) and fresh elections as well but the CA should be revived only for few hours to promulgate the new constitution by forging consensus on the disputed issues of the new constitution. He said the CA could not be revived without settling the disputed issues first. "It could bring about serious problems if the CA was revived without settling the conflicting issues." The UML leader said that the Ashok Rai faction of the party was invited for final discussions for Saturday and the leaders of the faction would be sacked from the party if they differed on party norms and principles nnnn SUNSARI FIRE CAUSES DAMAGE WORTH RS.2 MILLION Kathmandu, 1 Sept.: Fire that broke out at the house of Mishrilal Mehta at Gautampur VDC-7 in Sunsari district on Saturday gutted property worth approximately two million rupees, RSS reports.. District Police Office, Sunsari, said that two houses, eight goats and valuables were destroyed in the fire. Details of the property loss have not been received so far. Fire engines, police and locals brought the fire under control. However, no human casualty was reported in the fire. nnnn
