WATER LEVEL RISES ABOVE DANGER MARK ON SAPTAKOSHI RIVER Kathmandu 18 Sept : The water level in Saptakoshi River has been increasing due to incessant rains in the eastern hills for the past few days, RSS reports from Biratnagar. According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Rani, the water level in the river has been 164,010 cusec. A total of 27 out of the 56 floodgates of the Koshi Barrage have been opened and red flag has been flown in the eastern and western embankments of the barrage, police said. On Monday, the water level in the river was 158,330 cusec. nnnn
