PASSENGRS, CREW SAFE AFTER TWO AIRCRAFT HIT BIRDS IN POKHARA Kathmandu, 2 Oct. Two flights that took off for the capital Monday returned and landed safely with passengers at Pokhara after hit birds Aircraft of Yeti Airlines and Buddha Air hit birds. Nineteen passengers and crew members of a Sita Air German-built Dronier crashed near Kathmandu International Airport Friday after a bird hit. The aircraft took off for Lukla at the foot of Mount Everest. Nnnn CITY HAS 12 CENTURIONS Kathmandu, 2 Oct. The capital’s municipal authorities Monday honoured 12 Kathmandu residents who reached 100 years of age, Each centurion was given Rs 10,000. nnnn
