ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY FOR MAOISTS TO JOIN NA Kathmandu, 21 Nov.: The first meeting of a special committee for integration and supervision of former Maoist fighters decided Wednesday to offer 4,171 openings for the former fighters in Nepal Army (NA). The committee chaired ex-officio by the premier met after a one-month extension of its tenure Tuesday. Opportunities were again offered to former Maoist fighters after most of them opted for voluntary retirement without joining a directorate to be formed under NA. Only 1460 former fighters opted to join the state army. nnnn.
