FURTHER DETAILS OF SLAPPING INCIDENT Kathmandu, 16 Nov.; Top there CPN Maoist leaders, including Chairman Mohan Baidhaya, denied their [arty involvement in slapping UCPN Maoist Chairman Prachanda Saturday. Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel and Netra Bikram Chanad also denied involvement. Baidhaya was sitting next to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai at the podium when the ruling party chief was slapped and called for formation of a national consensus government. Ruling Maoist party Spokesman Agni Sapkota said Prachanda’s spectacles fell to the ground after the slap. CPN-Maoist Secretary Chand called the incident ‘anarchical’. Police has formed a three-member inquiry team as UCPN Maoist leaders also said they are making further investigations. nnnn PM PAYS RS. 100,548 IN TAXES LAST YEAR Kathmandu, 16 Nov.: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai paid Rs. 100,548 in taxes to government last year. This was disclosed at a meeting in the capital Friday. nnnn
