MAOISTS SET PRE-CONDITION FOR HANDOVER OF GOVERNMENT TO NC Kathmandu, 5 Dec.: A meeting of Maoist office bearers Wednesday put pre-condition to handover of government to main opposition NC which hose President Sushil Koirala as its candidate to head a consensus government. United Kingdom is offering Rs.5,002.1 million to waive a loan. nnnn BHUTANESE REFUGEES GET RELIEF AFTER FIRE Kathmandu, 5 Dec.: The District Natural Disaster Relief Committee, Jhapa has started distributing relief assistance to the family members rendered helpless after fire engulfed Bhutanese refugee camp in Belgadi-2 on Tuesday afternoon, RSS reports from Bhadrapur.. The Committee has started providing relief assistance of Rs 2,000 each to the fire victim families and Rs. 1,500 each for the construction of huts. We have reached out to the fire ravaged site and provided relief assistance to the victim families, said Chief District Officer Narendra Raj Sharma. The massive fire that broke out in Beldagi camp had rendered 400 refugees of 86 households homeless. The victims have been provided shelter in local schools and nearby places. The donor agencies have also started providing assistance to the refugees. CARITAS Nepal had made arrangement to serve beaten rice and vegetable on Tuesday evening while Bhutanese Intellectuals´ Group had arranged meal en masse for the refugees on Tuesday night. Nnnn
