Education Minister Dinanath Sharma, who had come to address an annual function of a local school in Balewa said that the government has completed its preparations to establish a polytechnic institute at Balewa in Baglung. The polytechnic institute will be brought into operation with all the programmes of CTEVT, he further said. With the operation of the institute, more than 350 students are expected to be benefited in the areas of Nursing, Pharmacy, Overseer, Veterinary and Plumbing among others. A tender call will be made soon for the construction of institute building, said Minister Sharma. The total construction cost is estimated to be Rs 50 billion. Efforts are being made to find 69 ropani of land at Kukurgade in Narayansthan VDC of the district.
