BANGLADESH VISAS ON ARRIVAL FOR NEPALIS Kathmandu, 10 Jan.: Bangladesh will offer visas on arrival for Nepalis gratic for 30 days. “This arrangement of Visa on Arrival to boost tourism would be free of charge for a period not exceeding 30 days,” the Bangladesh embassy said in a Statement. Bangladeshis get such facility from Nepal.. nnnn BAGLUNG TO GEY POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE Kathmandu, 10 Jan..: A Cabinet meeting held recently has decided to set up a polytechnic institute at Balewa in Baglung, RSS reports from Baglung.. Education Minister Dinanath Sharma, who had come to address an annual function of a local school in Balewa said that the government has completed its preparations to establish a polytechnic institute at Balewa in Baglung. The polytechnic institute will be brought into operation with all the programmes of CTEVT, he further said. With the operation of the institute, more than 350 students are expected to be benefited in the areas of Nursing, Pharmacy, Overseer, Veterinary and Plumbing among others. A tender call will be made soon for the construction of institute building, said Minister Sharma. The total construction cost is estimated to be Rs 50 billion. Efforts are being made to find 69 ropani of land at Kukurgade in Narayansthan VDC of the district. 'The locals are very much excited for possible easy access to technical education', said Narayan Poudel, a local. The Government has decided to set up five polytechnic institutes in different parts of the country.
