CPN MAOIST SMASH OFFICE OF DERIVATIVE EXCHANGE LTD. Kathmandu, 4 Jan.,: CPN-Maoist Friday smashed office of the Derivative Exchange Limited at Corporate Tower in Tinkune. Damage is estimated at Rs.1.5 million, the office said. The party was demanding donations ahead of a general convention. Nnnn . ARMY CHIEF BEGINS INDIA VISIT SUNDAY Kathmandu, 4 Jan.:: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana is leaving for India on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of his Indian counterpart General Vikram Singh, RSS reports.. During the visit, CoAS Rana is scheduled to receive the insignia of honorary General of Indian Army from Indian President Pranab Mukharajee, according to a press statement released by the Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate. During his visit, CoAS Rana would hold meetings with the Chief of Indian Army Staff, Chief of India´s Air Force and Chief of India´s Naval Force. Likewise, CoAS Rana would meet top officials of the Indian government. The nine-member team led by CoAS Rana is scheduled to return home on January 15. nnnn GOLD PRICE SLIPS RS. 600 PER TOLA Kathmandu, 4 Jan.: Price of gold has gone down by Rs. 600 per tola in the local market on Friday and has reached Rs. 58,500, RSS reports.. The price of hallmark gold was Rs. 59,100 per tola on Thursday and it reached Rs. 58,500, a decrease of Rs. 600 per tola, said Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (NEGOSIDA). Price of the yellow metal has decreased in the local market following on the trend in the international market. Similarly, price of worked gold has reached Rs. 58,250 per tola. The price was Rs. 58,850 per tola on Thursday. Likewise, price of silver has decreased by Rs. 30 per tola and reached Rs. 1090 per tola. The price was Rs. 1,120 per tola on Thursday, according to NEGOSIDA. nnnn
