EIGHT SENTENCED TO LIFE TERMS FOR MURDER
Kathmandu, 7 Jan.: Eight persons were sentenced Monday to life terms with confiscation of their property by a single bench of the Chitwan district court for the murder of a woman for witchcraft.
Eleven persons were charged for the murder of
Dhegani Devi Mahato of Madi, Chitwan in February last year.

Kathmandu, 7 Jan.:Jack Stefanowski of Puerto Rico has been
appointed the national coach of Nepali football team for a year by ANFA, an announcement said.
Stefanowski is a former national team coach of Puerto Rico.

CRITERIA FOR PM’S NATIONAL AWARD
Kathmandu, 7 Jan.: The Ministry of Industry has set the criteria to confer the Prime Minister National Award on the persons investing more than two billion, RSS reports..
Ministry Spokesperson Yam Kumari Khatiwada said the Ministry was preparing the list of the people making big investment in the country. She shared the information at a regular press meet organized at the Ministry of Information and Communications on Monday. The Award would be conferred within the current fiscal year.
The Department of Industry was assigned the task of preparing list giving it a top priority.
According to Spokesperson Khatiwada, a directive on forming an industrial security force was being prepared for the security of the industrial corridor. Similarly, the government was searching for the lands to set up handicraft villages in different parts of the country.
The Council of Ministers was submitted a draft for the operation of special economic zone, and homework was on to improve the condition of the sick industries, Spokesperson Khatiwada added.
