SCHOOLS CLOSED IN MORANG, KAILALI Kathmandu, 9 Jan.:: The District Education Office, Morang, has issued a notice announcing the closure of the community and private schools in the district until January 13. The DEO has issued the notice to the community and private schools on the request from the guardians after a large number of students began to remain absent in the schools here due to extreme cold conditions herem RSS reports from Morang.. RSS adds from Dhangadhi:: All community and private schools in Kailali district have been closed for a week from today due to the increasing cold following thick fog cover and the cold wave. The schools have been closed as per the decision of a meeting held at the District Education Office after the cold started to affect children. Normal life in the district has been hard hit due to the cold. According to Seti Zonal Hospital, the number of people suffering from cold, cough, pneumonia and respiratory diseases has increased. The local met office stated that the maximum temperature in the district was 8.2 degrees Celsius and the minimum 5.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Mainly, the cold has affected students, workers, elderly people and freed Kamaiyas. Flights have been disrupted at Dhangadhi Airport for the past few days due to the cold wave and dense fog. nnnn
