morning held another round of discussions with leaders of the Big Three
and Madesh Morcha in government to end a prolonged political deadlock.

STOCK PRICES GAIN
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.: Stock prices gained as the secondary market opened for trading Thursday.
Prices gained 3.67 points amid fluid political situation of the fifth day of weekly trading.
Shares of commercial banks and hydro power companies gained.

NEW LEADERSHISP IN NEPAL PRESS INSTITUTE
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.;: Shova Gautam was appointed Wednesday chairman of Nepal Press Institute.
Tapanath Sukla, Kundan Aryal and Manteshwori Rajbhandari were appointed vhce-chairman, general secretary and treasurer respectively.

SAURAHA TEEMING WITH LOVERS OF VALENTINE’S DAY
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.: The tourist hub Sauraha is filled with young lovers who have gathered here to celebrate the Valentine's Day which also coincides with the Sauraha Food Festival that kicked off on Wednesday, RSS reports from Chitwan..
The organisers of the food festival have also made arrangements to present prizes to the 'best couple' on the occasion, hence the large number of young lovers descending on to Sauraha this time around.
The tourism entrepreneurs have also offered special Valentine's Day discount to the couples and this might have also played an incentive for large number of young lovers coming to celebrate the day here, said Rammani Khanal, a tourism entrepreneur.
The couples who have come to Sauraha to celebrate the St. Valentine's Day and also to observe the food festival would be evaluated impromptu and the best couple rewarded, said another entrepreneur.
The food festival is organised under the aegis of the Restaurant and Bar Association, Sauraha.
The youths seem to be drawn to local Tharu delicacies like Ghungi, Chichar and Gundruk and Dhindo.
Most hotels here are occupied since Wednesday and still more visitors have been pouring in, according to the Regional Hotel Association, Sauraha. There are over 80 big hotels in Sauraha.

MARSHYANGDHI POWER CUT
Kathmandu, 14 Feb.:: At a time the country is reeling under long hours of power cuts, the Marsyangdi Hydroelectricity Project has reduced its production by 34 Megawatts on it full power-generation capacity, RSS reports from Damauli.
The Marsyangdi Project powerhouse had to reduce its production owing to the reduced water level in the river. The powerhouse cut down on its production since the middle of February. The total generation capacity of the project is 69 Megawatts.
The powerhouse is generating only 35 Megawatts of power these days after the fall in the water level in the Marsyangdi River, said Chandra Shekhar Chaudhary, Chief of the Power Generation Division of the project.
