TWO CEMENT BRANDS BANNED IN EAST Kathmandu, 22 Feb.: The Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology, Regional Office, Biratnagar, has banned the sale of Mangalam, and Sahara brands cement in the Eastern Development Region, RSS reports from Biratnagar. These brands of cement are produced by the Ambe Cement Industry. Chief of the Regional Office of the Bureau, Shashibhushan Yadav, said the office banned the sale of the cement in the east as the Industry was found producing and marketing the cement without acquiring the Nepal Standard (NS) mark. The Bureau has banned the production and sale of the cement until further notice as the Industry was found producing and packing the cement in the sacks of Mangalam and Sahara brands without taking the NS mark, said Yadav. Nnnn FRENCH CHOPPER JOINS SHREE AIRLINES FLEET Kathmandu, 22 Feb.: A French AS350 B3e helicopter Thursday joined the fleet of Shree Airlines. The carrier now has a fleet of seven helicopters, including six 24-seater Russian-made Mi-17s. Nnnn ONE KILLED IN HIT-AND-RUN CASE IN BHAKTAPUR Kathmandu, 22 Feb.: A person died in a road accident that took place at Shrijananagar in Bhaktapur district on Thursday night, RSS reports from Bhaktapur.. The deceased aged around 28 is yet to be identified, said Metropolitan Traffic Police Office, Bhaktapur. He died on the spot after an unidentified vehicle knocked him. The dead body has been taken to Bhaktapur Hospital. Police said search for the vehicle and driver is on. RSS nnnn
