UPDATE NO PROGRESS IN EFFORTS TO FORM ELECTION GOVT.
Kathmandu, 19 Feb. There was no breakthrough in two rounds of talks
between the Big Three and ruling five-party Madeshi Morcha Tuesday to form an election government headed by Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi.
First round talks were held in the morning at the residence of Chairman
Prachanda and again at an office in Baneshwor.
Previous talks were held at Shital Niwas with the ivolvement of President DR. Raaaam Baran Yadav who has come under fire for attempting a resolution of a political deadlock only with the involvement of the Maoists, NC, UML and the Morcha.
Second round of talks Tuesday empowered Chairman Pachanda, NC President Sushil Koiraala, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and Morha Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar to offer the premiership to Regmi.

NO HEARING AT SUPREME COURT ON CLAIM ATTEMPT TO INSTALL GOVT. ILLEGAL
Kathmandu, 19 Feb.: Citing time constraint, a single bench of Justice Kalayan SHestha didn’t conduct a hearing Tuesday of a writ filed by Advocate Bharat Jangam last Sunday demanding an interim order to stop the installation of an election government headed dby Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi.
Jangam said Maoist attempt to install a Regmi government was unconstitutional.
