CHIEF JUSTICE REGMI ASSUMES OFFICE IN SINGHA AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE AS WELL Kathmand, 14 March: Chief of the interim election council Khil Raj Regmi assumed office at the office of the Prime Minister Prime Minister in Singha Durbar after the president administer the oath of oath and secrecy. Regmi paid homage to martyrs at Lain Chaur before formally taking charge of government at Singha Durbar. Neupane, an aide of Regmi, is former chairman of law commission. Nnnn BAN ON ARMS, AMMUNITION IMPORT LIFTED Kathmandu, 14 March: A special committee on integration of Maoist former fighters headed ex-officio by the prime minister lifted a ban on import of arms and ammunition for the state security agencies imposed after a royal regime of King Gyanendra took over nearly seven years ago. The ban supported by major suppliers from India, UK and USA impacted the efficiency of the agencies.
