DON’T ACCEPT DR. BHAGAWAN KOIRALA RESIGNATION SAYS TUTH STAFF Kathmandu, 5 March: One thousand signatures are being submitted to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Tuesday not to accept the resignation tendered by DR. Bhagawan Koirala and chief of the TU Teaching Hospital exposing the inner workings of the highly politicized institution built by Japan to develop medical personnel. Parties have been appointing lackeys to top positions in the hospital. Dr. Koirala, a heart specialist, was brought to the TUTH from Saheed Gangalal Memorial Hospital, to resolve the problems. He accused government for not funding hospitals and doctors for immoral practices. A signature drive was launched by hospital staff. Dr. Koirala resigned this week following his appointment more than three months ago. nnnn
