CHINA ASKS NEPAL TO MONITOR BORDER WITH TIBET
DURING TUESDAY’S LEADERSHIP CHANGE
Kathmandu, 5 March: Chinese officials Monday asked Nepali security
officials of Sindhupalchowk and Dolakha to monitor the border during Tuesday’s leadership in Beijing.
The request came at a meeting in Khasha, Tibet.
They asked Nepal not to permit anti-China activities.
Leadership change occurs once every 10 years.

SECOND DAY STRIKE BRINGS LIFE TO HALT IN DHANUSHA
Kathmandu, 5 March: Ruling MJFL of Deputy Prime Minister Bjjaya
Kumar Gachedhar Tuesday closed down Dhanusha district for the
second consecutive day Tuesday.
The market, schools, and industries were closed and movement of
vehicles came to a halt.
The party was protesting arrest of its activists and irregularities in paying salaries of suspected village officials.

SHARE PRICES SLIP 2.17 POINTS
Kathmandu, 5 March: Share prices slipped 2.17 points when market
opened for trading Tuesday.
Shares of commercial banks and hydro power companies fell.
Stock prices fell to 539.02 points amid political fluidity over formation of an election government.
