CHINA ASKS NEPAL TO MONITOR BORDER WITH TIBET DURING TUESDAY’S LEADERSHIP CHANGE Kathmandu, 5 March: Chinese officials Monday asked Nepali security officials of Sindhupalchowk and Dolakha to monitor the border during Tuesday’s leadership in Beijing. The request came at a meeting in Khasha, Tibet. They asked Nepal not to permit anti-China activities. The market, schools, and industries were closed and movement of vehicles came to a halt. The party was protesting arrest of its activists and irregularities in paying salaries of suspected village officials.
