KOIRALA SEEKS PRESIDENT;S HELP Kathmandu, 29 April: NC President Sushil Koirala Monday sought help of President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to c0nduct second constituent assembly elections in November. Nnnn UML STANDING COMMITTEE MEET CONTINUES FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE DAY Kathmandu, 29 April: UML standing committee s meeting again Monday afternoon to discuss appointment to vacancies in the central committee for the second consecutive day. There are nine vacancies after defections. Vice-chairman Ashok Rai and several other top Janajati leaders quit and launched a new party protesting UML’s opposition to a federal ethnic structure based on ethnicity. A meeting of the politburo was postponed because of differences in the standing committee over central committee appointments.
