TWO JAILED FOR MAULING JOUNALIST
Kathmandu, 23 April: Morang district court Tuesday sentenced
Manoj Singh Rai to a five-year jail sentence for assaulting journalist Khil
RajDhakal.
A case against Rai was filed bye Federation of Nepalese Journalist.
Rohit Koirala, another asccused, was sentenced to six months
jail term.
Main accused UML youth leader Parsuram Basnet was given a clean chit.
Journalist Dhakal was mauled in Biratnagar 5 June 2011.

NEPALI ACTORS CAN CLIMB EVEREST WITHOUT GOVT.

Kathmandu, 23 April:: Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has said that it would not prevent actress Nisha Adhikari and actor Arjun Karki (Jit Bahadur) from climbing the Mt. Everest, RSS reports from Solukhumbu.t.
According to Accountant at the Ministry, Tilak Pandey, the Ministry would not prevent them from climbing Mt. Everest as they have gone to climb Mt. Everest through process as high altitude workers through the Seven-Summit Trek Expedition.
They will not be prevented to climb the Mt. Everest as Nisha has taken permission of a helper of a Chinese team to climb Mt. Everest and Arjun through his real name Jit Bahadur Karki, from the Ministry, it is learnt.
Pandey said that their duty is to see process and added that Nisha and Arjun have completed their processes for climbing Everest.
