UPDATE 33 PARTIES BOYCOTT ALL-PARTY MEET
Kathmandu, 10 May: Thirty-three parties, including CPN Maoist,
Friday morning boycotted an all –party meet government convened
to discuss fixing election date.
The parties are on street protests demanding formation of all-party
government and end to update of voters’ list for the vote in November/
December.

25 INJURED IN BUS ACCIDENT
Kathmandu, 10 May:: At least 25 people have been injured when a bus (Na. 4 Kha.6165) heading to Rautahat from Janakpur carrying members of a marriage procession hit a stationary truck (Na. 3 Kha.2406) at Basantachowk on
Thursday, RSS reports from Gaushala evening.
Among the injured, Ram Talewar Yadav of Chandra Nigahapur-2 and Ram Dev Das of Pipara Rajwas are in a critical condition, according to Bhishma Humagain, Inspector at Area Police Office Bardibas.
The injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals and clinics in Bardibas, said police.
The bus and bus driver have been taken under control by police for further investigation, said Inspector Humagain.

RPP-NEPAL BANDH CLOSES DOWN JHAPA
Kathmandu, 10 May:: Normal life in Jhapa district has been hit hard today due to bandh suddenly called by the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)-Nepal by demanding release of its arrested cadres,
RSS reports from Bhadrapir.
Transport services have been completely halted along the East-West Highway, Mechi Highway as well as other roads in the district due to the bandh.
Meanwhile, cadres of the party set a truck on fire at Charpane this morning for defying bandh, according to the District Police Office.
The cadres torched the truck after sprinkling petrol on the truck. Police have arrested three persons on the charge of their involvement in the incident, today, and that investigation into the incident is underway, it is learnt.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhuwaneshwor Tiwari, said that RPP-Nepal called bandh demanding release of its two cadres, who were arrested on Thursday in connection to an abduction case.
