THREE SWEPT AWAY BY NARAYANI RIVER
Kathmandu, 23 July: Three persons from Gaidakot of Nawalparasi have
gone missing after the flooded Narayani River ravaged its environs, RSS reports from Chitwan.
Prem Rai, Mohan Rai and Sajan Rai from Gaidakot-6, who had gone to a community forest near the river to collect grass and woods, disappeared after the river floods, said the Area Police Office, Gaidakot.
Although the locals and security person continued search, they have not found the missing ones.
Meanwhile, the water level in the Narayani River reached the record high on Monday.
According to Water Level Measurement Centre of Debghat, the water level in the Narayani River reached as high as 9.46-metre.
Although 200 houses were inundated with the floods on Monday, decrease in water level has given relief to the people here. RSS

23 PILGRIMS INJURED IN TRACTOR ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 23 July: At least 23 pilgrims were injured in a tractor accident occurred at Gauribas-3 of Patu in the district on Monday, RSS reports from Bardibas...
A tractor (Ja. 1 Ta 4195) heading to Sindhuli from a local Tuteshwor Mahadevsthan temple slid from the road at Chhatu, said the Area Police Office, Bardibas.
Among the injured , 10 are critical and have been referred to Kathmandu from a local hospital while others are receiving treatment at local Shuvaswastika Poly Clinic and Janakpur Zonal Hospital, said Bhishma Humagain, Inspector at the Area Police Office.
Most of the injured are children and women. They are from Batasedanda-14 of Kamalamai Municipality.
